Material: Premium Silicone Compound / Nomex®
(Aramid) multi-ply reinforcement, manufactured to SAE J20 standards.
Note: Not intended for any fuel, oil or oil
by-products.
Operating Temperatures: -65°F to
500°F (-54°C to 260°C)
Use: Turbochargers, superchargers,
intercoolers, air intakes and other engine
LUCKEY SAYS: 90 degree elbows are extremely useful for the
engine builder who needs to connect the same diameter pipes that are positioned
at a 90 degree angle from each other.
LUCKEY TIP 1: On standard HoseTechniques degree
hoses, both legs are equal length. The
leg length is measured by drawing a center line (down the very center of the
hose) and noting the point where the two center lines intersect. From this point to the end of the leg is the measuring point for the leg
length. In the part number, the third set
of digits identifies the leg lengths (i.e. in this part number: 54.300-344-xxx,
344 is the leg length which means it is 3.44 inches long on both legs).
LUCKEY TIP 2: It’s best to use only high quality
clamps such as our 100% stainless steel clamps. Worm clamps and sharp edged
T-Bolt clamps should not be used on silicone hoses. Silicone expands and
contracts with temperature changes, thus any sharp edged clamps will cut into
the soft silicone over a period of time, which will destroy the silicone
material and can be the cause of air leaks.
